Dear Students and Parents,

Welcome to fifth grade at SCCS. I hope that you have had an enjoyable summer. As I savor these last few days of vacation, I am also planning for the upcoming school year. I am eager to meet and work with all of you. Let me tell you some of what you can expect.

We will continue the Campus School tradition of in depth content units in Social Studies and Science. Our first unit will be the Middle Ages. In addition to learning about Knights, the Feudal System, and three monotheistic religious traditions, students will develop and uphold vows of their own. The unit will culminate with the day - long Feast and Dubbing ceremony a few days before Thanksgiving Break.
